Mastery has become a popular phrase in maths in recent years, but supporting this approach in the early years may not always be clear. This range of resources will help children to build number sense and develop a deep understanding of the numbers to 10 . This means that they understand the sequence (order), quantities, properties and relationships between numbers 0–10, and they can play around with these and explore them in different contexts.
