1. Returns
If you ordered directly via our website, you may return unused items within 14 days of delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
To start a return, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order.
Please note, this returns policy applies to website orders only. We do not accept returns from Resellers for Goods that are no longer wanted.
Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
2. Condition of Returned Goods
You may open and inspect items, as you would in a shop. If you change your mind, to be eligible for a return, all items must:
- Be unused and in the original condition you received them
- Be returned in their original packaging
We may deduct from your refund if the item has been handled more than necessary and its value is diminished:
- This includes damage to packaging, missing parts, visible signs of use, or any condition that renders the item unsellable as new.
Examples of deductions include (but are not limited to):
- Cost of repackaging or re-boxing
- Cleaning or refurbishment
- Replacing missing parts or leaflets
3. Non-Returnable Items
Digital downloads not eligible for return or refund:
- By activating or using our Apps, you expressly acknowledge and agree that you are waiving your right to the statutory 14-day cooling-off period. You understand and accept that once you activate or use our Apps, you will no longer be entitled to cancel or return our Apps within the cooling-off period.
4. How to Return an Item
Please contact us at info@yellow-door.net to initiate a return. We will provide instructions and a return address.
- You are responsible for arranging the return and the postage costs.
- We strongly recommend obtaining proof of postage.
- We recommend using a tracked service for valuable items.
Unfortunately, we cannot issue a credit for returns lost in the post without proof of postage.
5. Refunds
We will process your refund within 14 days of receiving the returned item.
Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll notify you by email. If the items are confirmed to be in resaleable condition:
- We’ll issue a refund for the original purchase price (excluding original delivery charges).
- Your refund will be applied to your original payment method within 14 days of receiving the returned item.
- Any deductions for diminished value will be clearly explained to you in writing.
6. Faulty or Incorrect Items
We take great care to ensure the quality of our early years resources. However, if you receive a damaged, faulty or incorrect item, please contact us as soon as possible by calling 01223 328051 or emailing us.
- We’ll arrange for a free replacement to be sent to you.
- In some cases, we may ask you to return the faulty item as part of our quality control process.
- If a return is required, we will provide a pre-paid postage label.
