We have these in our mud kitchen and all we need to add are water beads and stand back. The children count away and are able to correct themselves when the run out of holes. They use them as cookies and when the fall off yep, you guessed it, it’s more counting as they are replaced.
They have been left out in all weathers for two terms now and still look like new.
