It’s Hedgehog Awareness Week!

Did you know hedgehogs need our help? These little animals love to wander through gardens looking for food, but sometimes they need a helping hand.

Here are some simple ways we can all help our spiky friends:
🍃Make a hedgehog highway! Ask a grown-up to make a small hole in the garden fence so hedgehogs can explore safely.
🍃Leave a wild corner! Piles of leaves, logs, and long grass are perfect homes for hedgehogs.
🍃Put out water and food. A shallow dish of water and some meaty cat food (not fishy!) can really help.
🍃Check before you strim or mow. Hedgehogs like to curl up in quiet places – always take a look first!
🍃Never give them milk or bread. It can make them poorly.

Let’s be kind to hedgehogs and make our gardens a safe place for them to snuffle and snooze!
