Come Alive Phonics wins ERA award Come Alive Phonics: Playing with Sounds and Letters is the lastest in the Come Alive range to pick up a prestigious award. The sing and play pack was the judges' favourite in the Special Education Needs: Resources & Equipment - non-ICT category, at the Education Resources Awards.
"The judges applauded the way in which it could allow teachers to use it creatively, in a way that suits their own style in the interests of their pupils." ERA judges
Sue Palmer full of praise for Ragtag Rhymes Here's what she said about the new series:
"Dr Seuss for the 21st century - a joyful blend of humour, rhyme and nonsense with real child appeal. It's great to find really good books that make practising and applying phonic knowledge meaningful and fun. If we want children to really enjoy reading while they are learning to read, we need more books like these!"
Literacy advisors have also welcomed Ragtag Rhymes:
"The rhymes in these books will encourage young children to play with language. These books are a great resource with lots of potential for children's independent application into writing." Christine Barker, literacy and CLLD consultant, Cambridgeshire
"KS2/3 teachers are particularly interested in them for phonics interventions, as the off-beat humour is appropriate at that age." Alison Bailey, literacy and CLLD consultant, York
